Judiciary Records Staff Tipped On Best Practices to Improve Performance

A total of 75 Records staff on Wednesday March 1, 2023 underwent a refresher training in customer care, ethical code of conduct and communication in service.

The training which took place at the Judicial Training Institute in Nakawa was flagged off by the Commissioner Human Resource, Ms Apophia N Tumwine.

She highlighted some of the key issues that affect their performance and these included; corruption, performance management, abuse of study leave, attendance to duty and dress code. For issues such as study leave, she advised that the right procedure should always be used rather than just absconding duty.

She further urged them to be audible enough on aspects where the Judiciary needs to improve.

"Identify areas where you want us to improve for you to work better. Even if you need a training every quarter, we shall look into that," she said.

Participants were encouraged to evaluate themselves as far as Judiciary core values are concerned and always refer to their schedule of duties on a daily basis.

Participants shared their different experiences and innovations they have put in place to ensure efficiency at their workstations.
